What is important Quality Content or Marketing?

You will find suggestion from many successful blogger that focus on writing quality content. Yes it is true but what if you don’t get visitors for your content.

Your quality content is of no use without any reader. Readers decide quality of your content but if your post is not getting visitors, question arise whether to focus on marketing or creating quality content? I will say focus on both.

You may have found many successful blog some time they have average post but still they get lot of Re-Tweet, Diggs and lot of comments. They get good response even on average content because they are already successful they get lot of visitors to their blog so don’t need to focus much on content marketing.

Bloggers have to do lot of work like managing their blog, writing content, promoting their blog, search engine optimization, monetizing their blog and lots of other job. Most of the new bloggers focus on monetizing their blog and SEO. This takes lot of time and they forget to write regularly and promote that post.

Many bloggers write for search engine, this can bring lot of visitors but they are not good in writing quality content thus they do not get good success as they should be. It is not easy to get good search engine ranking and it’s not give instant result.

If you ask me I will say focus on two things, one write quality content and second work hard on promoting that post. It can be like content marketing.

It is not important to write 2-3 post per day, only 2-3 post in a week can be sufficient. Just focus on quality of your content. To write good post choose your post topic, research on that topic, start writing, after completing your post have a revision and if you are satisfy with your content you are done just publish that post.

Now you have published you post it’s time to Market your post. There are various ways of promoting your post. I am just giving you the idea it is not about how to be successful on them.

1. Submit your post to Social Bookmarking sites like Digg, Reddit etc.
2. Tell your friends about your post.
3. Use forums to promote your post.
4. Use paid promotion methods like Google AdWords etc.
5. Find Social Bookmarking site focused on your post niche like Designbump.com for designing related news.

This post is not about how to get most Dugg or top search engine ranking this is about how you can get most from your blog post.

To make your blog successful you need to focus on both topics writing quality content and promoting your blog. You have make balance between writing and promoting your first focus should be on creating good content.

Things To Remember Before Starting A New Blog

There are many people who want to start there own blog. Someone want to create blog to promote their business, someone to earn from there blog. There can be different reason of starting new blog but everyone wants to make a successful blog.

To make successful blog you need lot of visitors for your blog without visitors your blog is of no use. To bring visitors and create a good blog you need to do lot of good things to make your blog successful.

There are many points you must follow to create a successful blog. Here are some of points you must consider before starting a new blog.

1. Blog Host – This is the question many blogger ask. Should they start blog on there own domain or use any free services like Blogger.com? My opinion would be if you are serious with blog then always go with your own domain name. If you start your blog on free service and after sometime you switch to your own domain then you will loose lot of visitors as many visitors come from search engine. Your visitors will recognize you on that domain not on new. Self domain creates your own identity and branding. You can promote your site to everyone as it shows your own identity.

2. Blog Design –

Many of new bloggers search for free templates for there blog. Sometime they found very good blog design but sometime they not and they choose design what they like. Many cans argue that it doesn’t matter how your blog looks it is important to have the quality content. Yes I also agree good content makes good blog but here is my another opinion. There are many types of visitor who land to a blog some of them are interested in content, some of them came just searching and leave your site straight away as they found their solution and there are many who will just leave your site because they do not find your site attractive.

You do not need to spend lot of money designing your blog but you must search for good looking design or you can look for readymade themes which do not cost much.

3. Right Plugin – Mostly blogger choose WordPress as blogging platform to get most out from WordPress blog you need some good plugin which can increase your blog productivity, visitors interaction, search engine ranking and lot of other benefits. 4. Good Content – As you may have heard lot of time content is King. It will be always true that content is King. Why people will come to your blog? To find interesting and useful information. What if I present you a music DVD filled with some crap music you never want to listen. What will you do to that DVD; you may put it in a corner or you want to break that DVD. Same applies for bad content your content will be of no use to others. Search for what people want to read and create quality content of there interest.

5. Blog Promotion – Now you have a self hosted blog, good blog design, right plugins and very good content is this of any use without visitors. Blog popularity is majored by how many visitors come to that site. Bringing visitors to your site is difficult task but there are plenty of ways you can bring visitors to your site. Submit your site to all major search engines you can get lot of visitors from search engines. Submit your blog post to top social bookmaking site. Make comments on other blog, create your profile on social networking site and make friends. There are many other ways you can bring visitors to your website

I Hate Blogging

After seeing lot of successful blog I also thought to start a blog. I thought my blog can make me popular and will make me earn a lot. After lot of research I started a new blog. I learned that not to focus on earning in starting and write regularly with quality content. This will help me to build readers for my blog.

After starting my blog I started writing regularly but after few days I found I am short of topic and writing was not a great pleaser experience for me. I not found it interesting to write regularly. It is very boring to write.

I am not a writer and I have not taken any formal education on writing. I don’t know how to write good quality content and even I am not able to understand on which topic I should write because of that I hate blogging.

Then who sad to write, actually this was my decision and I must love writing for my blog but question is how.

This can be the problem of many bloggers. Many blogs die soon after there launch. Why those blog dies when there are some good post. There are lots of question on this problem like, how to write regularly, how to love blogging, how to write good blog post, how to get idea for my next post and many more questions.

There are many new bloggers who are inspired and read other blogs like Problogger, Copyblogger, DailyBlogTips, etc and I must say they are the best blog and every blogger must learn from them. Even after reading inspiring post on those blogs bloggers are not able to love blogging. Why this happens?

Reasons Why Some New Bloggers Give up

1. They had not created a long term plan before starting there blog.
2. They created a blog on a niche on which they have not much knowledge.
3. They read some good blogs but not read other blogs of there own blog niche.
4. They don’t have much time to write and they want to finish there writing job quickly.
5. They do not create a list for future post.

These are some examples this list can be long.

How to overcome this problem?

1. Create a blog on a niche which you have some good knowledge and you can write on that topic for long time. Pick the topic on which you are passionate.

2. It is not important to have only one niche for a blog. If you think you can write on some other niche too then write for those topics on same blog.

3. Read other blogs on same niche for which you write this will give you idea for your new post.

4. Write, Write and Write this will start making love you writing. As much you will write you will find you love writing.

5. Read, Read and Read this will fill your mind with ideas. When you read you get idea for future post this will again help you to love writing.

6. Don’t think you have to write daily if you can write few good posts per week then do that. There are many popular blog who just write 3-4 post per week and those post bring lot of visitors per day for them.

7. Set some small targets for your blog and always try to archive those targets. When you will archive some target it will boost your confidence this will make you love your job.

It’s Not About Me

Everyone wants to be popular and they want that everyone should talk about them. It is true to everyone of use. If not then he have to think about himself. This world is build around the word “ME” if we haven’t think about ourselves then maybe we won’t be what we are.

The question is to be successful do we just think about ourselves? The answers can be different by different people. My answer would be don’t think about yourselves if you want to be successful. Why I have put this question? To be successful in real life or as a blogger you have to stop thinking about yourself start thinking about others. It doesn’t matter in which field you want to be successful matter is you want to be successful.

Why I should not talk about Me? Think you are chatting with some people and one of them is just talking about himself. I am this, I have done this, I bought this, I like this and so on. Will you be interested in this type of people? I think you don’t like this type of people. Same can be applies to you if you are also this type of person.

Start thinking about other this will feel you happy and will make you popular. Think same as above you are chatting with others and now you are talking about others. You appreciate others work and thought they will be interested in you because you are talking about them not yourself. This will make them proud and they will start felling great about you as you are appreciating them.

Why think about others?

This same applies for blogging if you just write about yourself you will not get many visitors. People will not come to read just about you they need something which can benefit them.

What should I write about? You need to write what your visitors want not what you want. Yes you will write what you know and what expertise you have. But when you write what you know don’t try to force your opinion you can explain you visitors what you think about a topic and what your visitors think on that topic.

As a successful blogger people ask many questions about you. This is the time when you can speak about yourself but at this time you still need to take care about what you are telling about yourself. Be careful when you write about you self people should not take you as egoist.

Now I will talk about myself. This is what I feel I can be wrong but this suggestion will not make you lose anything but it will give you something. Please reply what you think about this post.

Your blog or site is not of any use without visitors. Visitors are the most important part of your blog and are the first thing you should look for. You may have read at many blogs that good content should be the first priority, without good content your blog is of no use.

Yes it is true, but consider a very good shop of gadgets where you will find latest gadgets from iPhone to latest music system of almost all popular brand but no customer comes to that shop. So is there any use of opening a good shop filling with latest and great product. Same applies to your site with very good content but no one is there to read that post and how it will be decided that it is a very good post because visitors to your site decided which post is good.

Bring visitors to your site is the most difficult work then creating a good content. Thanks to latest web developments they have given us various ways to promote our site and bring visitors to our site. There can be various ways to bring visitors to your site. Here I am trying to tell you few ways of bring visitors to your site.

Search Engine: Search engine traffic is what all webmasters want. Why search engine traffic? Because it’s free and it can bring thousands of visitors per day which can increase your site popularity to a next level. As you know Google is the major search engine and bringing your site on Google’s first page for a keyword related to your site is a difficult task. In next posts I will try to give you the tips on how to get your site on top on Google.

On social bookmarking site people bookmark web pages they liked and other visitors also can bookmark that page to there account or can bookmark any other page they like. Stop before Starting your Blog

Preparing to start your own blog? Great you are on a good way but hay wait for some time before starting your own blog.

Why I am saying you to wait for some time and for how much time? If you are starting your very first blog you have to learn many things before starting your own blog. Don’t worry it will not take too much time maximum of one week. For one week, why I should delay my blog launch? Yes this would be your next question. I am not an expert blogger to tell you those things which I am going to suggest you in this post but this will help you a lot to develop your successful blog. This is all I have learned from my mistakes and many of other new bloggers do in begging.

It’s not just about creating your own blog this is about creating a successful blog. Who don’t want to have a successful blog? The meaning of success can be different to everyone. Some feels blog success is by earning lot of money, for other lot of visitors is success, some other feels increasing in there brand values is success. What ever meaning of success is to you but at the end you want to be successful.

What I have to do to become successful? Answer is some study of building a proper blog. There is lot of competition on internet why a visitor should come to your blog, what they will get on your blog, what unique is in your blog. Does your blog gives them some value or this is also a copy cat blog same old things and filled with crap.

Do you know what requires building a good blog? Have you designed you blog properly, will visitors like your blog design. Have you used all good WordPress plugins? Is your article is properly written and is it worth reading? Do you know what your visitors want? Do you know proper writing method? What catches the visitors? Are you offering feed subscription? Are you showing your blog post in right manner and are they properly linked?
These are some of the question you have to ask yourself. If you know all the answers then great skip this post and go on building your blog but if not then stay here and read what and how you have to learn those things.

My first and only advice would be to learn. You can learn all good ways to build a successful blog just by reading some good blogs. There are lots of good blogs which will tell you how to build a successful blog. There advice will make you rethink before building your blog and this will be good for you.
