What is Google AdSense?
Google Adsense is the online advertising network from Google which connects the advertisers with online publishers, i.e., the website owners.
In fact, Google Adsense is a CPC (Cost per Click) Advertising Network that allows publishers to have ads on their website that is relevant to the content of the site.
In simple words, Google Adsense is an advertising placement service run by Google. It is designed for website publishers who can display targeted text, image, or video advertisements on website pages and earn money when their site visitors click on these ads.
So, Google Adsense enables publishers to monetize their websites using the CPC model by placing ads at various locations on their website.
In fact, Google Adsense proves the easiest way for bloggers and website owners to start monetizing their websites. Publishers earn money from the clicks obtained from the ads on their websites.
Moreover, Google Adsense offers a free way for publishers to make money with their websites.
How does Google AdSense work?
Web publishers need to create a free Adsense account.
They get an Adsense Ad Code for displaying the ads on their website.
To earn with Google AdSense, you have to put the AdSense ad code on your website, and then AdSense will show relevant Ads on your Website.
Adsense Ads can even be shown on mobile devices.
Whenever any visitor clicks on that ad, the publisher earns money.
Pay per click Ad can make you earn from $0.01 to as much as $ 10 + per ad click.
Earnings per click depend upon many factors like how popular or competitive that keyword is and in which country that ad is shown.
Once the ad code is installed on your website, the Adsense spiders get to crawl your website and find out what your pages are all about.
They go on to check their inventory of ads and put related ads on each of your articles.
For example: If your article happens to be on gardening, Adsense will likely show ads that pertain to gardening tools. So, the Ads are targeted towards the content of your site and address the needs and aspirations of your readers. When these ads are clicked, you get to earn money.
Adsense offers different programs for web publishers.
Some of the most common programs include:
- GoogleAdSense for content: display ads on a website
- AdSense for mobile: You can display ads with a mobile site
- Google AdSense for feeds: You can display ads in the RSS feeds
- AdSense for search: You can display ads in search results on a website
- AdSense for domains: You can display ads with unused domains
So, web publishers have the opportunity of a variety of ad types with Google Adsense, including:
- Text Ads
- Image Ads
- Rich media ads
- Native Ads
It all starts with the advertisers who need to choose the keywords they would like to advertise on. They go on to bid on these keywords.
The Adsense spiders would then match the ads with those specific keywords (which people type into Google) and display the Adsense Ads on publisher websites.
The Adsense Robots crawl publishers’ websites and find out if their content has the same keywords that advertiser has bid. If the site has the same keywords, the ads will show up on the site next to the article containing those keywords.
Google Adsense payments are made monthly through direct deposit or check. However, you need to have a minimum earning of $100 for Adsense payment.
Once you reach the $100 threshold, you will get Adsense payment on the next payment period. You can find out your current earnings (and more) with your Adsense Account.

So, keep on experimenting. It will open doors for increased Adsense revenue.
Now, we share with you an effective way that you should experiment to double your Adsense earnings.
Here, we list out four steps that take four weeks to increase your Adsense earnings.
Every week you have to note the performance of your earning. After fourth week you will stick with your most successful setting which can increase your future earnings.
Remember a few things before you start to experiment with this technique. These are:
- You can place up to 3 AdSense Ad units on a webpage
- Google loves fast websites
- Google love contents so write regularly on your blog
- Don’t spam. Don’t copy paste others blogs post
- Try to increase your website traffic without visitors you can’t increase you’re earning
Before you start changing anything you must note down a few things like how many AdSense ad units you are using right now. On which place of your site you have put the ads and what colors you are using for your AdSense ads.
Now you are ready with your past setting now it’s time for changes. As you know Google AdSense allows you to put up to 3 AdSense ad units on a page and big ad units like 728×90, 360×280, 160×600 attracts visitors, and these size of ad units get most clicks. As you know which size ad units you are using on the first week, you have to put big size ad units on your website.
On the first week, I will suggest you put 3 ad units on your web page because this will give you the idea of best ad place for your ads. Normally I don’t suggest to put 3 ad units on a page because this will reduce your per click earning.
Before rushing to change your ad units, you have to look at your website design and note on which place where you can put these ad units.
As big ad units get most of the clicks, I will suggest you use big ad units like 970×250, 728×90, 360×280, 160×600, 300×1050 etc and important part ad place matters, putting ads on the bottom of the page will not get many clicks so choosing right place is important.
Finding the right place for Google AdSense ad on your web page can be little tricky job if you are a blogger, then some of the good ad places can be just after the post title and above content, sidebar and the bottom of the content. Right ad place depends on site to site every website has different template style and look so you have to self-figure outright place.
If you are ready, you can put the new ad code on your website. It will be much better if you can use different colors for your different ad units.
Default ad color is blue, and many visitors easily recognize this as an ad and don’t click on the ads. You should try matching ads colors with your website color combination.
Don’t forget to note down the first-week changes you have made on your websites like how many ad units, ad size, and ad color.
Note: Google AdSense gives you the option of giving channel name for every ad you create. It is advisable to create channels which will help you to monitor your ad performance.
After 1st week note down few things like your total earnings of the week, which ad unit has got the most click, which ad color have got most clicks, which ad unit have got high earnings per click.
At the starting of the 2nd week, you have data about different ad units. You have to figure out the worse performing ad unit, bad performing ad size or place.
This week change all ad unit color with best-performing ad color of the 1st week. Replace the worse performing ad unit with a much smaller ad unit like 468×60, 250×250, etc. ad size.
The third ad unit is now smaller then 1st weeks ad unit this will display less ad compare to big ad unit this can bring high paid ads first and can increase ad unit earning.
At the beginning of the 3rd week, you have new data again. Note down worse performing ad unit.
This week remove the worse performing ad unit from your web page. Now you are left with 2 ad units which can display high paying ads. Fewer ad units can give high per click earning, but fewer ad units can give you fewer clicks which can result as less earning.
In these four steps, you will find what is best for your website fewer ad units or many ad units and which ad color give the best result.
Now again you have new data for the third week. Find out the low performing ad of week 3 and remove that ad unit from your web page. Now you are left with only one ad unit. I will suggest a place that ad unit above the fold (Ad should be shown as the website is open without scrolling down the page).
Only one ad unit can show high paying or high click getting ads which can increase you’re earning a lot. Only one ad unit can decrease some website earning as they will get a few clicks. More than one ad units can get more clicks and can increase earnings for some websites.
This can be last week for your research of increasing your AdSense earning. At the end of the 4th week, you have to compare all four-week earnings and find which week earning was highest.
If any week earning is a lot more than other three weeks then that week AdSense ad settings are the best for your website or blog, and you can change your AdSense ad setting to best match settings.
This step has increased me earning a lot, and on some of my blog, I am using a single ad unit and on some 2 or more ad units.
Hoping you’re earning will improve by following these steps.
However, you can try some more setting to test for your website.
Finally, if you implement these useful tips on your blog, you can surely increase your AdSense Revenues by a substantial amount, and that can be anywhere from 30% to 40%. These are completely genuine ways to increase your earnings from Google AdSense Ads. So, so ahead and follow these valuable tips to increase your earnings in a short time.
